Welcome to Stone Silo Prairie Gardens!

We carry a wide selection of native grasses and flowers. All our  plants are started at our greenhouse in Ledgeview, Wisconsin using Upper Midwest seed sources. We have a large selection of shade and woodland flowers in additon to an expanded selection of Rain Garden plants. Many of our plants are great for attracting butterflies or birds. Check out our list of plants that deer and rabbits may avoid.

Our business is committed to the preservation of native species and their use in a homeowner’s landscape design. These native grasses and flowers can be easily used in any perennial garden.  Once established they require little or no watering, and no fertilizer or pesticides.

We participated in Garden Visions 2008 in Mosinee, WI on January 26, 2008 with a presentation on Rain Gardens. The event was sponsored by the North Central Wisonsin and Portage County Master Gardeners. Thanks to all who attended. Click the link below to download the Rain Garden Plant spreadsheet we distributed. (Requires Adobe Reader.)
